I decided to try something the other day. I thought about how much my monkeytoes enjoy chicken and bacon. Then, I thought about how much we adults liked chicken, bacon, ranch and mushrooms. Then, I thought about the crescent rolls we had in the fridge. So I started creating…
2 sticks butter, melted
1 pkg dry Ranch
4 large boneless chicken breasts
1 pkg bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 container (8oz) mushrooms chopped and cooked
2 tubes crescent rolls
Monterey Jack cheese shredded (about 1 1/2 cups)
honey butter spread (optional)
Melt 1 stick of butter. Add dry ranch and mix well. Pour over chicken breasts and bake in a 375*F oven for 20 minutes, or until done. Allow chicken to cool, then cube. Melt 2nd stick of butter.
Set up an assembly line… chicken, bacon, mushrooms, cheese, butter. Separate crescent rolls into rectangles (taking 2 triangles and pinch seams together…spread into a rectangle shape) Brush with melted butter. On one side, place small amount of chicken, bacon, mushrooms, and cheese. Fold over making a triangle. Pinch seams together. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Continue with remaining crescent rolls and remaining ingredients. (You may have some ingredients left over…you have to kind of play with this as you go.) Brush with remaining butter.
Bake at 375*F oven for 8 – 10 minutes or until crescent rolls are done.
